Cristina & Peter’s Baby Shower Parade

Meet time: 11:00 AM

Meet location: Gambrill Park and Ride (7321 Gambrill Rd, Springfield, VA 22153)

Please join us in celebrating the upcoming birth of Cristina and Peter’s baby girl, by participating in a social distancing parade! We will meet at the Gambrill Park and Ride commuter lot (across from the Sunoco gas station) at 11:00 AM and will leave shortly after. Get your cheering voices, horns, and decorations ready to show them some well deserved love!!! 

For this parade to go off without a hitch, please:

  1. RSVP by Wednesday, August 5th, 2020

  2. If you’re running late on the parade day or suddenly cannot make it, PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP as the parade will depart very shortly after 11:00 AM

  3. Put your hazards on and follow the car in front of you

  4. Drive very slowly when passing the house (think snail pace)

  5. Do NOT stop-- this will allow everyone in the parade a chance to drive-by

SAFETY

In light of the current pandemic, we ask that everyone please adhere to the safety requests below that Cristina and Peter have asked us to share if you plan on getting out after the parade to briefly social distance. 

  • Wear a mask if you get out of the car to social distance (even when waiting in line)

  • While waiting your turn to social distance, stand in marked spots to remain a safe distance from the person in front/behind you

  • Stand behind the chalk line so that you, Peter, Cristina and baby remain a safe distance apart

  • Always respect each other and their space. Stand at least 6ft apart and always wear a mask.

PARKING

The neighborhood has one way in and one way out. Please turn around once you pass the house in one of the cul-de-sacs. If you’d like to park and get out to social distance for a moment with the expecting parents or drop off a gift, please do so once the end of the parade has passed the house. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our goal is to celebrate while keeping EVERYONE safe, especially the vulnerable, so if you are not able to adhere to the safety requests above, we invite you to attend the virtual (online) shower later in the day instead.
